Citizen Sandbox Pty Ltd (ACN 697 616 470) (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
When you submit an expression of interest, we collect the personal information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, organisation, role, and any message you send us. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our activities.
How we collect it
We collect this information directly from you through our online expression-of-interest form.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to discuss the Citizen Sandbox pilot with you, and to keep you informed about it. We will not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.
How it’s stored and who can access it
Information you provide is collected through Microsoft Forms, which stores response data on Microsoft servers that may be located overseas, including in the United States. The rest of our Microsoft 365 environment — including our email and files — is located in Australian data centres. Access is limited to the Citizen Sandbox team.
Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We do not disclose it to third parties except as needed to provide our services (for example, our IT and form providers, such as Microsoft) or where required by law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls on our systems.
Access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by contacting us below.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and then securely delete it.
